Business Controller

The job

Are you the driven business controller we are looking for to strengthen our team? As a business controller with us, you will work closely with the CFO and play a crucial role in managing our Finance department. You will be challenged to analyse and optimize the financial processes of Frontliners, giving you a firm grasp on the figures and contributing to our growth.

We are looking for someone with sharp analytical skills, experience in financial control and reporting, and a proactive approach to continuously implementing improvements. If you are ready to make an impact and elevate our financial efficiency to a higher level, we would love to meet you.

Frontliners, founded in 1995 in Oss, is a software engineering company that develops intuitive software for intermodal transport management. We still have the spirit and drive of a start-up, but with 25 years of experience. We focus on continuous innovation and have the ambition to grow sustainably.

With over 100 highly educated professionals, we work in various teams to develop innovative software solutions for our clients.

With your precise approach and collaborative mentality, you will elevate our department to a higher level. You actively contribute to solutions and ensure that our financial processes run smoothly. Your expertise and commitment make a noticeable difference and help us achieve our goals

What makes me the perfect addition to your team?

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.

  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.

  • Proactive, structured, self-starter

  • Expertise in Excel and experience with AFAS.

  • Experience with Power BI is a plus.

  • The ability to oversee complex situations and act according to the Think-Act-React model.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Managing, analysing, and validating accounting records.

  • Preparing and analysing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.

  • Collaborating with the CFO to prepare the annual report.

  • Preparing for audits.

  • Submitting CBS surveys.

  • Supporting payroll administration.

  • Functional management of the AFAS application.

  • Financial administration, such as invoicing and banking operations.
